Sentence Pattern (Part 1)

Communication is important for it helps you to build rapport and it also tells others who you really are. Hence, it is important for you to choose a proper sentence pattern when communicating or speaking. Here are some examples:



To Introduce Oneself
  • Hi! I am Jamilah Nasir. I just moved from Sabah.
  • Hi everybody! My name is Susan Sarandon. I'm from Singapore.
  • Hello! I'm Anitha Selvaraj from Penang.






 To Welcome Someone
  • Welcome to SMK. Dato' Ahmad.
  • Please make yourself as at home.
  • Please come in.
  • You are welcomed to be here, Suet Ling.
  • It is nice to have you here, Azhar.





 
To Take Leave
  • Goodbye, Angela.
  • Goodbye for now. We'll meet again in years to come.
  • So long, Tahir. I'll see you soon.
  • Bye, everybody.
  • Farewell, girls.
  • So long, Daniel.
  • I'll see you later.



To Invite Somebody
  • It's my birthday tomorrow. I'd like to invite you to my party at 5 pm.
  • I'm going to Ipoh this afternoon. Would you like to come along?
  • Are you coming with us to the ceremony?
  • Would you like to join us for a film?
  • Let's go to the canteen.




To Offer a Help
  • Here, let me give you a hand.
  • Let me carry this bag for you.
  • The files seem heavy. I'll carry some for you.
  • Do you need any help, Alex?
